Course Goals:
Students will be able to solve modest computational problems by writingsmall computer programs that use variables, conditional statements (chapter 18), andloops (chapter 20).
Grades:
There will be homeworks, two midterms, project and final. The evaluation scheme is roughly as follows (I reserve the right to change it):

~10 homeworks: 20% total
2 midterms:25% each
project & final30%
class participation:taken into account if necessary.
"Brownie point" quizzes never lower your grade, but the three students with the most brownie points at the end of the semester get their final grade raised by 1/3 grade point.

Policies:

Prerequisites:
Math 055, CS 102, ALEKS score above 52% or equivalent
For all practical purposes, only a minimal amount of computer experience is assumed for this class.
