1. You work for a high-tech company that creates a new 10 Gbps link. Your first installation is a 5000-mile line between New York and Seattle. Show your work for each of the following parts.
a. Calculate the minimum RTT for the link.
b. Using the RTT as the delay, calculate the delay x bandwidth product for the link.
c. Suppose you are in Seattle and want to download a 15 MB file from New York. What is the minimum amount of time that will elapse between when you send the request for the data and when the transfer is finished?

2. Read the man page for tcpdump, play with it and write a paragraph about how one could use it to find out interesting things about the network.
