IRSE - SALIR - PARTIR - DEJAR

All these words are usually translated as "to leave", but in Spanish they have different shades of meaning, or are used in different ways.

Los lunes salgo de mi casa temprano.
Mondays, I leave home early.

Salgo de viaje mañana.
I leave on a trip tomorrow.
salir para
to go to a specific place
Mi padre sale para Europa la semana próxima.
My father leaves for Europe next week.
partir
to leave in general in relation to travel situations, to depart
El tren parte de la estación central en diez minutos.
The train leaves the main station in ten minutes.
dejar
to leave something or someone behind, to abandon, to leave out, to omit

Dejamos Italia y vamos a Francia.
We leave Italy and go to France.

Me hermano dejó su equipaje en el hotel antes de ir al restaurante.
My brother left his lugagge in the hotel before goin to the restaurant.
