British Association for Cemeteries in South Asia (BACSA): This UK organization raise funds to maintain British gravesites in South Asia and is a valuable resource for family research and historians of British India.

Archaeological Survey of India: This agency of the Indian government was founded during the British Raj for the preservation of protected heritage sites and monuments as well as to conduct archaeological excavations and surveys of newly discovered sites.

Empire's Children: An online resource for tracing and telling family histories as they relate to the British Empire. The site accompanies the Channel Four television documentary.

Eastern Encounters: Four centuries of paintings, photographs and manuscripts from the Indian Subcontinent in Britain's Royal Collections Trust.

North American Conference on British Studies: A scholarly society dedicated to all aspects of the study of Britain and its empire. The NACBS sponsors scholarly publications, an annual conference, as well as several academic prizes and graduate fellowships.

The Times Digital Archive: Full facsimile images of either a specific article or a complete page of The Times of London from 1785 through 2007.
