Book News

The hits just keep on comin’.  I am honored to be added as a co-author of the three-volume treatise U.S. International Taxation. This massive work was first published in 1991 by my co-author and former law partner Joel D. Kuntz and Professor Robert J. Peroni of the University of Texas School of Law. It’s clearly the “hot topic” on the tax scene these days, and it’s a privilege to join them to keep the book afloat.

I am also a co-author of the treatise Federal Income Taxation of S Corporations, effective with its Fifth Edition. The book is co-authored by Joel Kuntz and the late Professor James S. Eustice of NYU Law School. This is truly the big leagues of tax publishing, and I’m pleased to have been entrusted with such important work.

I’m also proud of my first treatise, Federal Tax Valuation, and its 2022 Cumulative Supplement No. 2, which are currently on sale. Courts (most recently, the Eleventh Circuit) have cited the book more than a dozen times. In Capital Blue Cross v. Commissioner, 122 T.C. 224, 245 (2004), the United States Tax Court called it “a leading valuation treatise.”  I couldn't be happier about that.

The three books are published by Checkpoint, an imprint of Thomson Reuters/Tax and Accounting. Sometimes they're referred to as “WG&L” titles, after their original publisher, Warren Gorham & Lamont. The treatises are also available on line, by subscription, through the Checkpoint and Westlaw database services.
